Italian Pizzelle Cookies


1. Melt oleo or butter and mix in sugar.

2. Let mixture cool.

3. Add eggs and flour.

4. Add baking powder and anise flavoring.

5. Add additional flour as needed to make soft dough.

6. Refrigerate dough to make it easier to work with.

7. Drop by spoonfuls onto your pizzelle iron.

8. Cook 1 minute or until lightly golden brown.

9. Let them cool before stacking, this will help make your cookies crisp.
