1. Melt crisco an butter, then cool. 2. Beat eggs and sugar. 3. Add milk, vanilla, and anise extract. 4. Add crisco/butter mix. 5. Slowly add flower and baking powder. Work gently. 6. Bake on cookie sheet 3-5 min on bottom rack, then 3-5 min on top rack. Bottoms should come out lightly brown. 7. Let cookies cool, then ice with a mixture of powdered sugar and water.
