1. In a large saucepan blend sugar, cornstarch and salt. 2. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat until smooth, thick and glossy. 3. Pour some of the hot mixture into the egg, and then return to the pot, mixing well. 4. Add the butter and vanilla. 5. Stir in cooked rice (NOT minute rice) and some raisins. 6. Pour pudding into a bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon. 7. Chill. 8. Good cold or warm, your preference. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
