Kat'S Meat Sauce


1. Brown ground beef in a deep skillet or frying pan and drain off the majority of the excess fat.

2. Add onion, garlic and seasoning salt, saute until translucent.

3. Stir in peppers, mushrooms, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce.

4. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Stir in worcestershire sauce and italian seasonings.

6. Let simmer covered for 1 hour on low, stirring occasionally.

7. Uncover and let simmer until reaches desired consistancy.

8. If using slow-cooker, follow steps 1 and 2.

9. In large (5 qt) slow-cooker, stir together contents of pan, peppers, mushrooms, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce.

10. Simmer on high for 3 hours.

11. Stir in worcestershire sauce and italian seasoning.

12. Simmer on low for 6-8 hours.
