Lasagna


1. In Dutch oven, heat the oil.

2. Add garlic, bell pepper, celery and onions.

3. Sauté until soft.

4. Add the beef, salt, pepper, basil, oregano and parsley.

5. Cook until crumbly.

6. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce,balsamic vinegar and water.

7. Simmer for 1-2 hours.

8. In bowl, blend the eggs and ricotta cheese.

9. In a 9x13 baking pan, layer ½ of meat sauce, ½ of noodles, all the ricotta cheese mixture and ½ half of the mozzarella cheese.

10. Repeat the noodles and mozzarella cheese.

11. Top with remaining meat sauce.

12. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

13. Uncover and continue baking for 20 minutes or until it bubbles.

14. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

15. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting in squares to serve.
