1. Bring the roast to room temperature. 2. Preheat the oven to 550 degrees. 3. Rub the meat down with Kosher salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in oven in roasting pan. 4. Roast for 15 minutes per pound. 5. Then TURN OFF THE OVEN and do NOT open the door! 6. Go play a couple of games of tennis, return 2-4 hours later and remove the roast from the oven for perfectly done beef. 7.
