1. Layer vegetables on bottom of crock pot. 2. Add 1 bay leaf. 3. sprinkle salt, pepper, sugar & tapioca on mixture. 4. place bay leaf on vegetables. 5. add the beef. 6. pour can of stewed tomatoes on top of ingrediants. 7. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours, depending on how you like your vegetables (firm or soft). 8. an hour before serving add some white 9. pearl onions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
