1. Cream butter, add sugar, beat in egg yolks. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients (except jam and cream.) Beat egg whites. 3. Fold in batter. 4. Grease and flour two 9-inch layer cake pans. 5. Spoon half of batter into each. 6. Bake in oven (350 F) for 30 minutes. 7. Fill cold layers with jam. 8.
