Mari'S Mexican Corn Bread


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Brown hamburger together with onions and jalapeƱos.

3. Mix cornmeal, baking soda, and salt. Beat eggs and add milk, cream style corn, and bacon fat. Beat into dry ingredients.

4. Heat and grease a 10-12 inch cast-iron skillet. Pour in half of the batter. Spread the hamburger over that, and then sprinkle on the grated cheese. Top with remaining batter.

5. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Good with a salad or pinto beans.
