Mexican Date Bars


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, beat egg until fluffy.

3. Add butter, honey, dates, and vanilla. Stir well with a spoon to coat dates.

4. Stir in walnuts and almonds.

5. Stir in the coconut, cocoa, and cinnamon.

6. Stir in the krispie cereal, salt, lemon juice, then flour and mix well.

7. Press the mix into a lightly greased 9 X 9 glass dish and bake for 30 minutes.

8. Cool completely before cutting so the bars can set.

9. Chill for even more chewiness!
