Microwave Romero (Norwegian Milk Pudding)


1. Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.

2. Stir in the flour with a wire whisk. Cook in microwave until mixture bubbles; then cook 30 seconds longer.

3. Heat half & half and milk together. Slowly add to flour mixture; stir with wire whisk.

4. Cook in microwave until mixture begins to boil, about 2 minutes.

5. Remove from microwave and stir in sugar and salt.

6. Microwave 30 seconds longer.

7. Add more hot milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.

8. Serve warm with melted butter, cinnamon and sugar, if desired.
