Molasses Candies (Knäck)


1. Mix sugar, molasses, butter and cream in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to soft ball stage (mixture forms soft balls when dropped into cold water).

2. Add almonds, stirring to combine. Pour immediately into small foil candy cups. (The recipe booklet shows her using two spoons to put the mixture in the cups) . This is probably messy!

3. Allow to set.
