1. Melt the butter and the oil in a heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Add garlic and saute until beginning to brown, about 2 minutes. 3. Using a slotted spoon remove and discard garlic. 4. Add mushrooms and saute until golden brown and the juices evaporate, about 15 minutes. 5. Add wine and simmer until reduced to glaze on mushrooms, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes,. 6.
