1. Heat oil in a large sauce pan. 2. Add onion, carrot, and celery, saute over medium low heat 5 minutes. 3. Add beef and sausage, brown over medium heat, breaking up the meat, cook until no longer pink, drain. 4. Add wine, bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half. 5. Add tomatoes, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and simmer 1 hour. 6. Serve over hot cooked pasta. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
