1. Lightly and carefully rinse the rice, making sure not to break the grains. 2. Then add the oil directly to the uncooked rice, coating it. 3. Boil the water in a in a medium-sized saucepan. 4. When it is reaches a boil, add the rice and bring back to a boil. 5. Lower heat to a simmer and cover the pan with a tight fitting lid. 6. Cook about 30 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. 7. Remove from heat. Fluff very lightly with a fork and allow the cooked rice to rest--uncovered for at least 5 minutes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
