1. Drain herring of wine, do not rinse off any left over spices. 2. Place cream cheese and drained herring in food processor. 3. Process until smooth and spreadable. 4. Finely chop scallions. 5. Remove spread from processor and place in to a medium sized bowl. 6. Fold in finely chopped scallions while tasting for salt and pepper. 7. Keep cool until it is ready to be served. 8.
