1. Dip beets in beaten egg, then sprinkle half of the bread crumbs onto a paper towel. Place beet slices on the crumbs & sprinkle with remaining crumbs. 2. In a skillet, over medium-low heat, melt butter, then saute beet slices, turning to brown each side, about 3 minutes for each side. 3.
