Red Cooked Eggs


1. Combine all ingredients except the eggs in a saucepan.

2. Heat until sugar dissolves.

3. Add eggs and simmer one hour, turning the eggs occasionally so they become evenly brown.

4. Let sit off the heat in the liquid for 30 minutes.

5. Slice and serve or refrigerate for later use.
