1. In a skillet, melt butter on medium-high heat. 2. Add the garlic and cook for 60 seconds. 3. Add the wine (if using), salt and heavy cream. Stir well. 4. Let cook for 5-6 minutes, to let the alcohol cook out of the sauce. 5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Serve once all the cheese has melted and the sauce is nice a creamy. 6. NOTE: If sauce is too thin, you can use a cornstarch slurry of 1/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Stir in the slurry after the cheese is added and this will thicken the sauce. 7.
