1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Cream sugar and butter; add salt, sour milk and eggs. 3. Beat well. 4. Sift spices with two cups of the flour into the sugar/butter/egg mixture. 5. Add nuts and raisins and enough more flour to make a dough that will drop from a spoon. 6. Drop from a teaspoon onto a cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until golden. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
