Sour Cream Soup


1. Saute bacon in heavy pot.

2. Add cabbage, onion, celery, carrots, potato and zucchini; reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes.

3. Add tomatoes, beef broth, barley, and rice; simmer 2 hours.

4. Blend in white sauce, vinegar, garlic, caraway seed, salt, worcestershire, and thyme.

5. Simmer about 15 minutes.

6. Adjust seasonings if necessary.

7. Garnish with sour cream and serve.
