1. crockpot- place meat after lightly browning (opt) in crockpot on low- early am -unless time dictates night before and all remaining ingredients as well except noodles- let cook until ready 1/2 hr before mealtime- put pot on high- get it boiling- then turn off- put dry noodles in cover and let steam until tender. 2. stove top ( best results - use pressure cooker on meat and broth only) or you can simmer all ingredients after browning meat on top of stove for 1 1/4 hrs to 1 1/2 hours Then put it on high bring to boil and do the same as above with noodles- you get more flavor and noodles are not mushy. 3. use regualr broth and heinz gravies if not worried about diet- plus to further cut sodium- fresh for jarred mushrooms- omit if allergic. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
