Special Scottish Swede


1. Boil the swede until tender (about 20 minutes) and drain.

2. Meanwhile, fry the onion in the oil and after 2 minutes add the drippings and apples.

3. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.

4. Mash the swede and add to the pan.

5. Season and stir well.

6. Sprinkle a little grated nutmeg on top and serve.

7. For the Vegetarian option please use butter.
