Spinach Steak And Mushroom Salad


1. To make the dressing: In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients.

2. To make the salad: Season the steak with half each of the salt and pepper.

3. Place on a greased grill over medium-high heat.

4. Close the lid and grill, turning once, until medium-rare, about 8 minutes.

5. Transfer to a cutting board and tent with foil.

6. Let stand for 10 minutes.

7. Thinly slice across the grain.

8. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.

9. Saute the mushrooms, garlic, thyme and remaining salt and pepper until no liquid remains and the mushrooms are golden, about 5 minutes.

10. Divide the spinach between four plates.

11. Divide the mushrooms, steak and onion over the top.

12. Drizzle with the dressing.
