1. Sift the flour with the salt into a bowl, rub in butter and then stir in the sugar and currants. 2. Whisk the eggs and stir into the mixture and stir until smooth with a wooden spoon, adding milk, if necessary, to give a dropping consistency. 3. Turn into a well-greased basin, cover with pleated, buttered grease proof paper and foil, tie securely and steam 1 1/2 - 2 hours. 4.
