1. Place fruit in a large bowl. 2. Add sugar and kirsch or other liquor. 3. Gently lift the fruit with a spoon to distribute flavors. 4. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. 5. Remove and let stand at room temperature 20 minutes. 6. Poke the mint sprigs around the top. 7.
