1. Rinse & drain the canned fava beans. Place in a saucepan with the water & bring to a boil. 2. Reduce the heat & simmer covered for 10 minutes, then add the garlic & chilli if using & cook a few more miuntes or until the beans are nicely softened. 3. Remove from the heat & drain. Mix the lemon juice & salt in a serving bowl. Add the fava beans along with the parsley & mix well to coat. 4. Drizzle the olive oil over the beans & serve with fresh bread. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
