1. Brown meat and onion in hot oil in skillet. 2. Transfer to cooker. 3. Add all vegetables. 4. (Carrots should come near top.). 5. Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over meat and vegetables. 6. Cook 6-7 hours on low setting or 4 hours on high. 7. Lastly thicken with 2 T cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 c cold water. 8.
