1. Dice carrots and onions. 2. Finely chop garlic. 3. Chop Swiss chard. 4. Add olive oil to a 4 lt pot and sautee garlic, onion, carrots and Italian parsley for 10 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally. 5. Add the tomato sauce (low salt is best) water, chard and beans and bring to a boil, then turn heat down to a simmer and simmer for 20 minutes. 6. I didn't but you may wish to add salt to taste. I find the tomato sauce used has plenty of salt for this recipe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
