Swiss Steak And Gravy


1. Combine 3 tablespoons flour, garlic salt, onion salt and pepper. Mix well. Coat steak with flour mixture.

2. Pound with a meat mallet. Turn meat over and continue to pound in as much flour as the meat will hold.

3. Brown steak on all sides in 3 tablespoons hot oil.

4. Layer steak and sliced onions in slow cooker.

5. Mix 1 ½ cups beef broth, sugar and Worcestershire. Pour all over. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Remove steak to cool.

6. Whisk ¼ cup flour into 1 cup beef broth. Add salt and pepper. Pour into slow cooker and mix well. Heat to boiling and stir until thick and bubbly.

7. Remove gravy and allow to cool. Pout steak and gravy into freezer bag. Label and freeze.

8. To serve: thaw. Heat until hot and bubbly. Serve with mashed potatoes.
