1. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil until hot, but not smoking. 2. Add the onion and green pepper. 3. Cook until soft. 4. Add the garlic and sausage, and cook 5 minutes. 5. Add tomatoes and cook for 20 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking. 6. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the basil. 7. Add salt and pepper to taste. 8.
