Tomato Basil Mushroom Pasta Sauce


1. Heat the olive oil in a large sauce pan. Lower to medium heat and add the chopped onion. Saute until it starts to brown, 5-10 minutes.

2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 more minutes.

3. Add the wine to deglaze the pan, making sure to scrape up all the browned onion and garlic. Cook on medium-high heat until almost all the liquid evaporates, about 5 minutes.

4. Stir in the tomatoes, mushrooms, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cover, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
