1. Beat together butter, sugar and almond paste until fluffy. 2. Beat in eggs and vanilla. 3. Add flour, baking powder and salt. 4. Blend until smooth. 5. Fold in nuts and fruit. 6. Divide dough in half and shape each into a log about 3 inches wide and 3/4 inches high. 7. Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated 350F oven. 8. Let cool for 10 minutes, then slice diagonally into slices. 9.
