Scrumptious bhalle made using the humble potatoes. ALOO BHALLEIngredients3 large potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed2 tbsps corn starch1 tbsp crushed coriander seedsΒΌ tsp red chilli powderSalt to tasteOil for greasing + for shallow fryingGreen chutney as requiredSweet tamarind chutneyChaat masala powder as requiredMethod1. In a bowl, add potatoes, corn starch, coriander seeds, red chilli powder, salt and mix well. Grease the palms of the hands with oil, divide the mixture into equal portions, and shape them into tikkis. 2. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, shallow fry the tikkis for 2-3 minutes on medium, press slightly and cook till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. 3. Place the prepared bhalle on a serving plate, break them into pieces and drizzle green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney, and sprinkle chaat masala powder.
