Shallow fried potatoes with a masaledaar spice blend and your favourite chaat condiments, the go-to snack for sudden chatpate cravings

ALOO MASALA CHAAT

Ingredients

8 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp red chilli powder
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Salt to taste
2 tbsps freshly chopped coriander leaves + garnish
5-6 tbsps yogurt
5-6 methi khakara
4 tbsps finely chopped onion
4 tbsps finely chopped tomatoes
Red chilli-garlic chutney as required
Green chutney as required
Sweet tamarind chutney as required
Khara boondi for garnish

Method

1. Cut the potatoes into thick discs and keep aside. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the discs in the pan and toss well. Cook till golden and crispy, turning occasionally.
2. Sprinkle red chilli powder, crushed black peppercorns, salt and chopped coriander. Take it off the heat, set aside.
3. Place the prepared potatoes on a serving plate, add yogurt on top, crush methi khakara on it, add onion, tomato and drizzle red chilli-garlic chutney, green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney.
4. Garnish with khara boondi and chopped coriander. Serve immediately.
