AMARANTHUS AND CHANA DAL WADA | Vahchef - VahRehVah

Amaranth leaves are well known for high content of Protein , Fiber and Folic acid and Vitamin A. They are recommended for healthy growth and functioning of body. A stir fry of this green leafy vegetable is a quick and tasty meal to prepare with mild flavors of spices. This is a favorable dish to include in diet. Wada with Amaranth leaves, onions, chillies are deep fried crispy delicacy perfect to go with tea and coffee.

Ingredients:
Chana dal 1 Cup
Red Chillies 4-5 Numbers
Fennel seeds 1?2 Teaspoons
Salt 1 0
Green chillies, chopped 3-4 Numbers
Onion, chopped 1 Numbers
Amaranthus leaves 2 Bunch

1. Soak Chana dal along with red chillies in water for about 4-5 hours.
2. Drain the water and put the chana dal, red chillies in the blender. Add some fennel seeds, salt and grind to coarse paste.
3. Shift the chana dal mixture into a bowl, add finely chopped green chillies, onions, amaranthus leaves or thotakoora (wash and finely chopped).
4. Mix all the ingredients well together. Take little mixture and shape them into vada shape.
5. Drop the vadas in hot oil and deep fry until they are cooked and golden in color.
6. Remove and serve hot
