Amla Chutney, Gooseberry Spicy Chutney recipe

Amla Chutney is a chatpata accompaniment with a mind-boggling flavour that combines tang, spice and more! This easy-to-make chutney combines gooseberries with ingredients like green chillies, ginger and coriander, which balance the tartness of amla beautifully. vitamin C rich amla is commonly available in the winter, and this recipe is a must-try when amla is in season. You can store it in the refrigerator for 4-5 days and enjoy it with rotis and parathas. You can also try other amla recipes like Mint and Coriander Chutney or Ginger Chutney .

Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: Nil.
Makes 1 cup.

½ cup deseeded and roughly chopped amla (indian gooseberries)
1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp roughly chopped green chillies
½ tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)
¼ tsp black salt (sanchal)
2 tsp sugar
Salt to taste

1. Combine all the ingredients and ¼ cup of water in a mixer and blend it till smooth.
2. Serve or store it in an airtight container and refrigerate it.
