A continental dish with an Indian twist, Amritsari Fish Fingers are the perfect way to indulge when you crave some deep fried foods.AMRITSARI FISH FINGERSIngredients300 grams king fish (surmai) fillet, cut into fingers½ lemonSalt to taste2 cups Tata Sampann Fine Besan¼ tsp carom seeds1½ tsps red chilli powder½ tsp turmeric powder1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste2 tbsps yogurt2 eggs Chaat masala to sprinkleOnion rings to serveLemon wedges to serveGreen chutney to serveMethod1. In a large bowl, add fish fingers, squeeze lemon, salt, and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.2. In another large bowl, add Tata Sampann Fine Besan, carom seeds, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.3. Add ginger-garlic paste, yogurt and break in the eggs into the same bowl. Whisk to make a smooth mixture.4. Add sufficient water and mix well to form a thick batter of coating consistency.5. Add the fish finger and mix till well coated. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.6. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, drop in the fish finger and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper, sprinkle a little chaat masala and transfer into a serving plate.7.
