Freshly baked cake with the goodness of fresh apples.

APPLE CAKE

Ingredients

4 medium apples (650 gms), peeled, thinly sliced and mixed with lemon juice
4 eggs
150 gms sugar
150 gms refined flour (maida)
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon powder
115 gms melted butter

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180º C.
2. Break eggs into a bowl. Add sugar and beat with an electric beater till you get ribbon consistency. Add apples.
3. Sift together refined flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add melted butter and mix well.
4. Grease a square cake tin with oil and dust with refined flour. Pour the batter into the tin.
5. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven, cool down to room temperature, cut into big pieces and serve.
