A quick and easy recipe of arrabiata sauce without the use of garlic and onions. A must try !

ARRABIATA SAUCE

Ingredients

¼ cup canned tomato puree
¼ cup fresh tomato puree
2-3 tablespoons olive oil + for drizzling
1 tablespoon chopped celery
½ teaspoon red chilli flakes
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon sugar
5-8 fresh basil leaves, hand torn + for garnishing

Method

1. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add celery and sauté for a minute.
2. Add canned tomato puree, fresh tomato puree and mix well. Add chilli flakes, salt and sugar, mix well and cook for 5-10 minutes or till the sauce reduces.
3. Add basil leaves, mix and cook for a minute.
4. Drizzle olive oil, garnish with basil leaves and use as required.
