Baked Methi Bite | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Utterly nutritious and healthy, this Methi Bite will remind you of home. It can be used as an excellent snack or even as a tiffin treat!

BAKED METHI BITES

Ingredients

1 cup chopped fresh fenugreek leaves (methi)
1 cup semolina (rawa)
¾ cup gram flour (besan)
1 teaspoon baking soda
Sal to taste
¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons oil + for greasing
Milk as required

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180˚C.
2. Sieve semolina in a bowl. Add gram flour, baking soda, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, garlic, onion, fenugreek leaves and oil and mix well. Add milk and mix into a thick mixture.
3. Grease a barfi tray with some oil and spread the mixture evenly in it. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, cool and demould.
4. Cut in squares and serve.
