Wholesome breakfast recipe with the goodness of fresh fruits and oats.

BAKED OATS AND FRUITS

Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats
2 medium bananas
½ cup walnut kernels
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp cinnamon powder
½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsps melted butter
4 tbsps melted strawberry jam
¼ cup raisins

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
2. Put oats, walnut kernels, baking powder, cinnamon powder and sugar into a bowl and mix well.
3. Break eggs into another bowl and beat with an electric beater. Add milk and maple syrup and continue to beat. Add vanilla essence and butter and beat again.
4. Slice bananas. Take a glass baking dish, place sliced bananas in a layer and sprinkle raisins over them.
5. Over that place oats mixture in a layer and pour the egg-milk mixture. Drizzle strawberry jam on top.
6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven.
7. Scoop out ladleful of baked oats and fruits onto serving plates and serve immediately.
