Batata Kees is the Indian version of Hash Brown Potatoes commonly prepared during fast.Ingredients:4 tbsp Oil1 tsp Cumin Seeds3-4 Green Chillies4 Potatoes, grated and soaked in water1 tsp Sugar7-8 tbsp crushed Peanuts2 tbsp Fresh CoconutSalt to tasteMethod:- Peel and grate the potatoes. Soak them in water till you use them.- In a pan heat some oil.- Add cumin seeds and chopped green chillies. Saute for a minute.- Squeeze out all the water from the grated potatoes and add them.- Add salt and sugar. Mix well.- Add crushed peanuts and again mix everything well.- Cover it with a lid and let everything cook for 10 minutes.- Add fresh coconut. Mix well.- Batata Kees is ready to be served.
