So, do not miss the opportunity and quickly make this dal which is loaded with goodness and comfort in one bowl!BATHUA DALIngredients1 large bunch of bathua, leaves separated2 cups soaked whole black gram (sabut urad), drainedSalt to taste½ tsp turmeric powder1 tsp red chilli powder½ tsp asafoetida (hing)2 green chillies, finely chopped1 inch ginger, finely chopped2 tbsps ghee1½ tsps cumin seeds3 tbsps sliced garlic2 dried red chillies, stemmed and broken2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leavesFresh coriander sprig for garnishSteamed rice for servingMethod1. Chop bathua leaves roughly.2. Heat a pressure cooker. Add the urad, bathua, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing, green chillies, ginger, 4 cups water and mix well.3. Once the mixture comes to a boil, cover with a lid and cook on medium heat till 3-4 whistles are released.4. Open the lid once the pressure is completely released. Mash the dal lightly.5. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and once they start to change the colour, add garlic and sauté till it turns golden brown.6. Add dried red chillies and mix well. Add the cooked dal and mix well. Add coriander and mix well.7.
