Beetroot Vada without onion or garlic

This is a season of rains as well as festivals. So let's make Beetroot Vadai which can be offered as Prasad too.

#SujanFunKitchen is here again with another #EasyAndHealthy recipe of Beetroot Vada

Ingredients:

Bengal Gram Dal - 1 cup

Besan/Chickpea flour - for binding as reqd

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Aniseeds - 1tsp

Chopped ginger to taste

Finely chopped beetroot - 1/4 cup, 

Sambar powder - 1 tsp

Salt to taste 

Oil for frying

Method:

Soak Bengal Gram Dal for 3 hours

Drain of water and grind to a coarse paste, adding cumin seeds, Aniseeds

Transfer to a bowl and add the finely chopped beetroot, ginger and curry leaves.

Mix well adding salt and add few tbsps of Besan/gram flour to get binding

Heat oil for deep frying

Take some Vada mixture and pat it to a Vada.

Do the same the entire batch of Vada mix

Deep fry the Beetroot Vadas to a golden colour 

on both sides
