A traditional desi sweet made using gram flour and sugar syrup. BESAN CHAKKIIngredients¾ cup ghee + for greasing1½ cups Tata Sampann Fine Besan1½ cups sugar ¾ tsp green cardamom powder8-10 pistachios, blanched, peeled and slivered6-8 dried rose petals, crushedMethod1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add Tata Sampann Fine Besan and mix well. Cook till the mixture is golden brown and fragrant. Mixing constantly.2. Meanwhile, heat 1 cup water and sugar in another non-stick pan, and let the sugar melt completely. Add green cardamom powder Cook till one string consistency. 3. Add the sugar syrup little by little into the roasted besan mixture and continuously mixing. Mix for 4-5 minutes.4. Grease a burfi tray with ghee and spread it evenly. Sprinkle slivered pistachios, dried rose petals and slightly press it.5. Keep aside to set for 10-15 minutes.
