Besanwali Bhindi Chef Harpal Singh

Besanwali Bhindi is indian bhindi recipe made with fleshy and sweet summer okra cooked in a masala of onion, garlic, besan and spices.

Ingredients Quantity
Whole dry coriander 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Okra (bhindi) diced 250 grams
Onion diced 2 no
Oil 2 tbsp
Asafoetida tsp
Carom seeds 1 tsp
Green chilly 2 no
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Dry mango powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Chaat masala (optional)
Gram flour 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp

Method
Keep the pan on the stove and heat it.
Add saunf, jeera, whole coriander in a pan and dry roast. Grind it and keep it aside.
Now pour the oil in the kadhai and let it heat.
Add hing, ajwain, diced onion and saut it.
Add diced green chilly, bhendi in it and cook for sometime.
Add salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder, amchur, turmeric powder, chat masala (optional) and half quantity of which have ground it before
Add besan and mix it till it coat to all the bhendi. Cook till the besan and bhendi cook for sometime
Finally add the chopped fresh coriander and serve it.
