Puffed rice tossed in a spicy tadka and roasted to perfection.BHADANGIngredients4 cups puffed rice (kurmura)2 tbsps oil1 tbsp sliced garlic cloves½ cup raw peanuts A sprig of curry leaves1 tsp red chilli powder½ tsp dried mango powder (amchoor)Salt to tasteMethod1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and raw peanuts. Sauté on low heat for 5-6 minutes. Add curry leaves and sauté till fragrant on low heat.2. Add red chilli powder, dried mango powder, salt and mix well. Sauté for a minute on low heat.3. Add puffed rice and mix well. Sauté for 6-8 minutes on low heat. Switch off the heat. Set aside to cool down.4. Transfer bhadang in an airtight container.5.
