Bhakarwadi Recipe, sandwich bhakarwadi, tangy spicy bhakarwadi, Maharashtrian Bhakarwadi recipe#Bhakarwadi #SandwichBhakarwadi #BhakarwadiRecipeIngredients for the sandwich of bhakarwadiRefined flour- 2 cup (250 gms)Carom seeds- ¼ tsp Oil- ¼ cup (60 gms)Sweet Tamarind chutney- 1 tbspSesame seeds- 1 tbspPoppy seeds- 1 tbspDesiccated coconut- 1 tbspSugar- 1 tbspFennel powder- 1 TspCoriander powder- 1 TspAsafoetida- 1 pinchCumin seeds- ½ tspRed chilli powder- ½ tspTurmeric powder- ¼ tspGinger powder- ¼ tspGaram masala- ¼ TspSalt- 1 tsp (to taste)Oil- (for frying)How to make the bhakarwadi sandwich: 1- Take 2 cup of the refined flour in a bowl and add ½ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp of crushed carom seeds, ¼ cup of oil. 2- Mix all the ingredients and add water less than the ½ cup in small portions to knead the stiff dough. 3- Cover and keep it aside for the 15-20 minutes to set.4- For the masala, grind ½ tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp poppy seeds, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of fennel powder, ½ tsp of the cumin seeds, ½ tsp of red chilli powder, ¼ tsp of garam masala, ¼ tsp of ginger powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 pinch of asafoetida, 1 tsp of salt, 5- Grease the hands with oil after 20 minutes and squash the dough. 6- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. 7- Prepare a round ball out of it by rolling it between your palms and lightly press it.8- Keep it aside on the plate and flatten another portion of the dough in the same way. 9- Spread the tamarind chutney and ground spices on the one flatten dough. 10- Cover that dough with the another flatten dough. 11- Flatten them and make them thinner. 12- Cut the stuffed dough with the cutter or knife in small squares. 13- Poke them from both the sides with the fork and separate the pieces. 14- Leave them aside for 1 hour 15- Preheat the oil on the medium-low flame.16- Add the bakharwadi in the oil to fry 17- Remove them from the oil using a strainer/ladle once they are golden brown in colour. 18- Place the fried bhakarwadi on the plate.19- They acquire 5-6 minutes to fry 20- Delicious bhakarwadi are ready Serving: 1- You can store them in an Airtight container and consume for 3 months. 2- You can serve them as the snacks along with the tea.
