Ingredients

10 drumsticks
5 tablespoons butter

CAJUN SEASONING:
1 teaspoon paprika
teaspoon salt
teaspoon onion powder
teaspoon garlic powder
teaspoon dried oregano
teaspoon dried basil
teaspoon dried thyme
teaspoon black pepper
teaspoon white pepper
teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

00:27 - How to prepare drumsticks before seasoning
01:03 - How to make homemade cajun seasoning
02:05 - How to use meat thermometer to know when drumsticks are done cooking

1 01:03 - In a small bowl, stir together all the spices for cajun seasoning. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

2 00:20 - Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a jelly roll pan with nonstick spray. Line up drumsticks on the prepared tray.

3 01:32 - Sprinkle with cajun seasoning on both sides. Leave the side with the most meat and skin facing up.

4 01:41 - Put a dab of about 1/2 tablespoon butter on the top of each drumstick, on the part that is most meaty. The butter will melt all over the meat and skin, keeping the meat juicy, and making the skin crispy.

5 02:05 - Bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
